In developing the procedure technique five injection sites on each side of the face are identified using a selection criteria which minimises risks and maximises the spreadability. The injection points are selected in secure areas far from major vessels, and in an area promoting greatest diffusion of the product.

ICONA-H8 is injected 0.2 ml per point in the deep dermis using a bolus technique which gives a smooth release of the substance. It is injected very slowly into the skin.

The positioning of the injections allows us to give excellent results into the nasolabial folds, the jawline, cheeks which gives an overall improvement in the appearance of the face, with increased firmness and elasticity and brightness of the skin, reducing the most superficial wrinkles to the deep nasolabial folds.

The product then flows and distributes itself evenly, integrating within the skin's tissue without resistance (rather than remaining where it is placed), which makes it naturally a much less painful procedure.

The injection process for ICONA-H8 has been carefully designed and tested for maximum efficiency and client comfort. Each pre-filled syringe is carefully injected deeply into the dermis. Following the Bolus technique, the physician slowly and smoothly releases the ICONA-H8 serum with very little tissue distension or irritation. Because of its low viscosity, the serum could also be extracted with a 29G needle (2 supplied) The existing, limited advice to simply insert a syringe directly into the problem wrinkle or sagging skin has been re- imagined. ICONA-H8 injections are carefully mapped on the face with injection points.

These points are anatomically-receptive and spread across the entire malar and sub-malar areas. With this unique method, the injection points support progressive diffusion across the widest sections of the face through sub dermal patterns. As a result, maximum results can be achieved with fewer syringes and, by default – less discomfort.
